We’re looking for someone to execute on our ambitious PR goals and help define what the world thinks of Monzo.
Monzo is the UK’s largest digital bank, started from scratch in 2015 with a mission to make money work for everyone. We're focused on solving problems by giving you all the tools to control your finances from your smartphone. Today we have more than 5m customers, exciting innovations in the pipeline and big plans for the future.
Our goal is to build the best bank in the world and bring it to a billion people. PR is a crucial part of how we’ll make that happen. We’re looking for an ambitious PR expert who has experience working in a fast-moving financial services environment and who has delivered great results managing the day-to-day tasks of a press office as well as running longer-term campaigns. You’ll need to be an exceptional communicator and a strong collaborator with the ability to multitask.
Like everything we do, our approach to PR is an expression of our values and our brand. So we strive to always be truthful and transparent, while telling compelling stories about Monzo and showing the work we do at its best.
You’ll forge relationships with journalists and keep them in the loop with our news. You’ll define how we message new features and big announcements, and find clever opportunities for us to show the world what we do. And you’ll help us quantify the value of PR, and measure its impact and success.
You’ll be the third person in the team, and you’ll work with our PR Manager and Director of Communications, who you’ll report to directly.

The application process consists of a 30mins phone call with a recruiter, an initial call with someone from the team, followed by 2-3 on-site interviews at our office in London or remotely via hangouts. We promise not to ask you any brain teasers or trick questions.
