Thanks to internal advances and promotions, we have rare and exciting opportunities to join Sciex's MS Application Support Team. Based in our Alderley Park facility, the UK Applications Team work across multiple functions to provide the pre- and post-sales skills to ensure the continued success of our customers. The UK-based team primarily support the UK, Irish and Nordic markets but work closely with wider EMEA and global teams to aid our customers across the globe.
LC-MS Application Support is a highly varied role, but core duties and responsibilities include:
- Provide the technical skills and expertise in presales situations. Collaborate closely with the Sales Team to research, develop and demonstrate applications to showcase Sciex's product portfolio addressing prospective customers' needs. This could be face to face demos, remote presentations or presales visits at customer sites.
- Develop and update applications to stay ahead of market trends and advances. This could be across a variety of different areas and can encompass every aspect of an application, from sample preparation through to data handling and processing.
- Keep up to date with and contribute to innovations within the scientific community, communicate internally to aid future product developments.
- Leverage expertise to generate and spread marketing material such as tech notes, posters and conference presentations.
- Aid customers in their method development and troubleshooting, this could be onsite or remote.
- Deliver successful customer training inhouse, onsite or remotely.
- Work with Service and wider Support network to ensure customer problems are tracked and quickly resolved.
Key skills and experience:
- Extensive hands-on experience of LC-MS/MS use, method development and troubleshooting, Ideally covering nominal mass and high resolution techniques.
- Knowledge of LC-MS applications in the food and environmental or pharma/CRO industries advantageous.
- Experience of screening workflows highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Eager to continuously learn and develop.
- Organizational skills - must be able to manage workload to work independently and contribute to wider team goals.
- Degree or PhD in chemistry/life sciences, or equivalent experience.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%, both domestic and internationally.
