To prescribe as appropriate from the Nurse prescribers formulary
Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates packages of care.
Prioritises own work in line with areas of highest risk, delegates work to the wider skill
mix team appropriately, providing them with supervision and support.
During contacts with families the practitioner is able to identify concerns and can
report/refer those concerns directly to social care or following discussion with Clinical
Lead/Named Nurse/Safeguarding supervisor.
Prepares for and undertakes the protective interventions as part of the protection plan
in a manner that is consistent with evidence based practice, legislation, policies and
Works with other members of the multi-agency Safeguarding team to plan, monitor and
review the effectiveness of the protection plan at Case conferences and core group
Will provide reports for Case Conferences and core group meetings in line with the Essex
Safeguarding Children Board.
