We have an exciting opportunity available for a temporary full-time Float PA within the People Services Portfolio.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive Float Personal Assistant within the People Service Portfolio to provide a professional and confidential PA support service to the Executive Director, Directors and Assistant Directors within the Portfolio during periods of absence.
As the first point of contact for Directors and Assistant Directors, you will have a strong customer focus, be professional in all aspects of your work and be confident in handling a complex and varied workload to a high standard. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills who is flexible and self-motivated and enjoys the challenge of a busy office environment. The role involves diary management, inbox management, monitoring (including check and chase) and forward planning. You will also be expected to support and minute meetings.
The Float PA will work across all service areas within the People service Portfolio providing seamless support to Directors as and when required, to cover annual leave and sickness, sometimes at very short notice. This role will also have the opportunity to cover for the Executive Personal Assistant working directly to the Executive Director of the Portfolio.
This is a unique opportunity to gain a wide range of knowledge and skills across the portfolio from, Children, Adults, Education and Communities along with developing strong relationships and creating a career pathway within the secretarial role.
This post will work flexibly between City Centre sites and home working. All required equipment will be provided.
