The company is a leading global supplier of plant equipment and has depots all across the UK.
In order to cover a staff absence, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a service controller to join the team on a temporary basis at its depot in Southampton.
As a service controller you will be working as part of a small and friendly team.
Your job will be to take calls from customers, suppliers and internal departments in order to ensure that the equipment is well maintained and downtime kept to a minimum.
Your main responsibilities will include:
·Dealing with customers over the telephone and via email, maintaining high standards of professionalism at all times
·Ensuring that the highest levels of customer service are maintained
·Chasing the progress on repairs
·Effectively communicating with customers, suppliers and other company departments
·Raising jobs, costing, invoicing and all other duties associated with service advising
The successful person will have previous experience in a call centre environment and ideally experience in the capital equipment hire and sales industry. You will also have an excellent telephone manner, strong IT, communication and administrative skills.
This position is Monday to Friday with a Saturday morning every 3rd week.
