Facilities Assistant will assist the School Caretaker/Site Maintenance Manager and their teams with the general upkeep and maintenance of the school.
This role would suit someone seeking a career in facilities management and site maintenance or looking to subsequently gain a trade for eg an electrician, plumber or carpenter, through a trainee position or apprenticeship.
No previous experience is necessary. The successful candidate will need to show the ability to organise and prioritise work, display good communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work as part of a team and have good literacy and numeracy skills.
Candidates should have basic DIY skills and be able to undertake routine repairs and maintenance tasks. In addition you will need to possess knowledge and understanding of health and safety procedures, especially in the use of gardening and maintenance equipment. .
