As the new Mechanical Shift Engineer you will play a pivotal role within the Operational site team, reporting into the Mechanical Maintenance Manager. You will work as part of a multi-skilled engineering team responsible in the delivery of the Engineering strategy to support the ongoing progression of the site performance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Repairs as necessary to ensure that equipment is fit for purpose.
Inspections and safety checks
Execute the maintenance plan across all areas of site
Ensure all plant equipment is maintained and performs to levels that do not impact customer service or compromise EH&S
Drive & maintain quality solutions & standards

The ideal candidate will have a HNC or relevant experience in Mechanical Fitting.
This role would suit someone who is capable of motivating others to deliver results.
Must be able to work collaboratively at all levels within the company, also with suppliers and contractors.
IOSH Managing Safely is desirable but not essential, as well as general IT skills.

Based in Scunthorpe my client is a UK based, Manufacturing business who are currently going through a period of growth. Due to this growth period they are now looking to add to their engineering maintenance team by recruiting a new Mechanical Shift Engineer. My client would consider candidates who are from any manufacturing industry, ex forces engineers or chemical backgrounds.
A competitive package is provided consisting of £30,000 to £37,000 basic salary, company pension and private healthcare.
