Our client is a diverse engineering business that has a strong reputation and plans to continue with fast expansion and growth across all areas. Central to these ambitious growth plans for the construction division are building on the core key clients, targeting repeat business, and this will be achieved through the strong team which this role will become an integral member of.
You will be a third level qualified civil / construction engineer responsible for all aspects of the project including Health and Safety, quality, client relationships, progress and commercial performance of the project. This is a multi-disciplinary project and an experienced, strong manager will be integral to delivering results as our client is the principle contractor on site.
What will I be doing?
Reporting to Contracts Manager you will be responsible for the following:
• Ensuring the works are delivered to the highest Health and Safety standards • Working closely with the contracts manager to deliver the project safely, on time, to the quality standards and to budget • Working closely with and building relationships with the client • Managing multi disciplines on site • Working with the planner weekly to update the contract programme • Leading the team on site • Reporting site progress in line with KPIs outlined • Leading client meetings
Full training and support will be provided, and all will be completed in line with the company Health and Safety Policy and Quality Procedures.
Qualifications and/or Experience Required:
• BSc/BEng (Hons) or MSC/MEng in Civil Engineering / Construction Management • SMSTS Training • Temporary Works Co-ordinator • Computer literate and conversant in the use of software packages such as Microsoft outlook, Excel and Word
