ROLE PURPOSE The HR Advisor is a key member of the organisation's UK HR team at HQ, with responsibility for delivering a broad range of HR services to Glory employees and line managers. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES - Work with Managers and Team Leaders to identify and address specific needs and understand where talent management, employee relations or learning and development interventions would be appropriate to support or develop the business - B e actively involved in the cost-effective and timely recruitment and selection of staff - Oversee and manage the recruitment of apprentices, in partnership with stakeholders, through a robust and thorough recruitment assessment process - Support the delivery of our People initiatives with excellence - Update stakeholders on any HR or training initiatives / changes and deliver engaging training - Support managers with their team's performance and development, including supporting the talent review processes, and Performance Enhancement (Capability) processes from beginning to end - Support the annual performance and development cycle of employees - Provide effective support on employee relations issues; ensuring fairness, consistency and appropriate management of risk - Work with the HR & Payroll Administrator to audit and ensure accurate processing of UK, Irish and other outsourced payrolls - Collaborate with external advisors to ensure Japanese ex-pats are supported from an immigration, tax, and payroll perspective, as well as other adhoc or necessary support - Support the HR & Payroll Administrator with full employee lifecycle administrative processes, including terms and conditions changes, sickness administration, joiners and leavers, probation and any other inputs for payrolls - Provide management information and people metrics to leaders to drive action; using reporting to share and highlight employee trends and HR activities - Produce monthly and ad hoc reports as required - Develop and maintain policies in line with current legislation and best practice - Advise employees ahead of and during periods of Family Friendly Leave - A udit records for Payroll and Benefits processes in the HR database effectively - Support the Reward team with initiatives in the UK - Work with the Senior HR Advisor & HRBP where appropriate to support the implementation of new projects/initiatives and deal with local issues REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS - G ood level of relevant experience working in Human Resources and Payroll at a similar-sized or larger organisation (approx 150 Basingstoke employees) - Strong working knowledge of UK employment laws and procedures - CIPD Level 3 or 5 Qualification DESIRABLE - A g ood understanding of benefits programmes - BA in related field - CIPD Level 7 REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES - Maintaining strict confidentiality of information related to all areas of the HR role; discreetly and tactfully recognising and handling sensitive and confidential information - Flexible and adaptable, skilled in organising work, defining tasks, setting priorities, working independently and following through on all projects and assignments with minimal direction - Effectively perform a variety of duties with frequent interruptions and changing priorities - Good numerical reasoning, meticulous and accurate with a high level of attention to detail - Excellent Communicator: both face to face and virtually; with leaders, employees, suppliers and the HR team - Polished and accurate formal and informal writing skills - Able to maintain calm in difficult situations; patient, tactful, diplomatic, factual and approachable; experienced in working with people who are stressed, upset or highly opinionated - Developing a good commercial awareness, you are curious, keen to learn and interested in the wider business - Influential with strong coaching skills and a positive, action-oriented approach GLORY SPIRITS The Glory Spirits & Behaviours reflect the values and behaviours that are critical to the ongoing success of Glory and as such represent the foundations of our behaviour globally to lead us to realise our mission: alue Creation- strive to create value for customers Self-Starter- understand the objectives of your own work and are proactive in achieving goals Collaboration- respect diversity and create a culture of collaboration to work with each other to achieve a common goal Integrity- understand Glory's mission and act with responsibility and pride to realise achievement and act and behave with high integrity and a strong sense of ethics Own Growth-leverage our own talent and achieve personal development by adopting a broader perspective; looking beyond our own work.
