This apprentice role has been designed to help develop individuals who are looking to enter Cost Management. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and proactive individual to join KBR as a Cost control apprentice. The role will combine knowledge gained from a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship with hands-on experience. KBR will support with 20% learning and study time, with the rest on the job.

KBR has developed and implemented an innovative, cost effective solution for the management of FM services across a wide range of service lines. The FM Integrator concept is an integrated approach for the Management of FM services which is an evolving model in the FM market. As part of the ongoing growth of its Facilities Management business, KBR is actively recruiting to expand its FM Management team to manage current and future public sector facilities management Integrator contracts.
- GCSE or equivalent English and Maths - grade C/4 or above
- Must be able to obtain security clearance
Experience and Skills:
- Confidence working with computers and Microsoft packages
- Demonstrates a systematic approach to tasks and measures progress against plans
- Good attention to detail
- Has the ability to manage and work to strict deadlines
- A proactive approach to working
- Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver outstanding customer service
- The ability to adhere to processes and procedures including KBR's Zero Harm health and safety culture
- Can work on own initiative and cohesively as part of a team
- Ambitious and demonstrates a willingness to learn
- Understanding of Facilities Management
- Financial and Commercial awareness
Core Responsibilities and Duties
- The post holder will be expected to assist in ensuring that the Work Orders and Quotes are verified as per the Supplier contract agreements in terms of commercial values, rates, measures/quantities, and material costs.
- The post holder will be expected to identify additional areas of non-compliance, estimate the extent of the costs, and produce a summary report (after training)
- The post holder will be expected to produce reports, both regular and ad-hoc and circulate to the relevant parties.
- This could lead to a job in Cost Control/Cost Management
