About the opportunity:
You will join our Water, Energy & Environment business, which is recognised as the No.1 Environmental Consultancy in the UK by Environment Analyst.
Our work focuses on providing solutions to future challenges such as climate change, the need for renewable energy, low carbon economies, transportation, and material resource and waste management. While we shape some of the very largest and most challenging landmark projects in the UK, we also deliver local projects that protect communities. We are also at the forefront of developing best practice and pragmatic approaches to the delivery of environmental assessments and consents and have extensive capability in EIA, SEA, IIA, Health and Sustainability Appraisals across the full project cycle.
We have opportunities for individuals with a proven track record in environmental leadership to join our team on some of the largest, most complex and exciting projects in the UK. You will have a pivotal role in major project delivery, working closely with our clients and helping to lead our environmental assessment and consents workstreams. Your experience will enable you to identify and manage risks to project delivery and maximise opportunities for efficiencies, promote innovation, provide mentorship and support technical development of our staff.
Our team works with a number of key clients, supporting them with their WRMP development and review, AMP7 Capital Delivery and Strategic Resource Options commitments.
We are at the forefront of supporting our clients with their current water resource planning, capital delivery programmes and major projects, some of which are complex Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) and require SEA, EIA and specialist discipline input across the full project cycle.
We are looking for individuals with a proven track record of contributing to the delivery of environmental assessments for water sector projects to join our team leading some of the largest, most complex and exciting projects in the UK. You will contribute to our major project delivery, working to help deliver our environmental assessment and consents workstreams. Your experience will enable you to help the project team to deliver quality outputs to meet programme, whilst at the same time gaining valuable knowledge and understanding of the water sector.

Here's What You'll Need:
Here's What You'll Need:
- A degree in a relevant discipline.
- Experience in delivering EIAs and other types of assessments for a range of clients.
- Knowledge and understanding of consenting regimes, such as the Planning Act/Development Consent Orders (DCO), Transport & Works Act, and Town & Country Planning Act.
- A good awareness and understanding of relevant stakeholders
- Strong organisational, communication and inter-personal skills and collaborative working capabilities to co-ordinate and work within multi-disciplinary and diverse teams.
- Chartered status and Full Membership of a recognised relevant professional body (e.g. IEMA). Where a candidate does not meet this requirement, they would be expected to achieve this within their first year.
Ideally, you'll also have:
A Masters degree in a relevant discipline. Experience in client facing roles, and in working closely with client bodies and engaging in proactive consultation with key stakeholders such as Natural England. Team leadership experience and strong communication skills and capability in engaging motivating and influencing staff and clients. An established market reputation and network, and ability to support business development.
