Age UK Nottingham have an exciting opportunity for a SPECAL Support Worker to join the team.
Based: Sybil Levin Health & Wellbeing Centre, Nuthall Road, Nottingham
Salary: £9.50 per hour
Scale: AUNN Band A (£18,278 per annum, FTE)
Hours: 25-30 hours per week (exact hours to be agreed), over 3 days
The Sybil Levin Day Service is a specialist SPECAL-Led day service supporting people with dementia and their carers using the SPECAL method, run by Age UK Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
SPECAL Support Worker - The Role:
You will be part of a small team providing a range of support including responding to personal care needs, supporting people to engage in activities and providing an escort service on our mini bus.
SPECAL Support Worker - You:
- Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and listening skills, with an open, sensitive and compassionate approach
- Good organisational and communication skills are essential, as well as a positive attitude and the ability to work well in a busy team
- This role would suit someone able to use their initiative and think creatively, in order to ensure that our service meets the needs of its users in a welcoming and vibrant environment
