KBR Government Solutions delivers unique, fast-paced and challenging projects throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa - our clients include UK and overseas Governments with projects operating in defence, infrastructure, facilities management and construction sectors. The range of projects and programmes we work on are extremely diverse (varying from provision of "life support" services to the military to Facilities Management for the Met Police to Portfolio, Programme & Project management to Consultancy services), resulting in a variety of work and a genuine claim that no two days are the same.
Working on the Ministry of Justice & Home Office South Contract, we deliver services to our Client through an Integrator Model, a central Computer Aided Facilities Management system controls and monitors all contractual requirements. We provide Helpdesk Service, Real time Reporting, Building Surveys, Fire Risk Assessments, Compliance Audits and Statutory compliance of all Maintenance of our Client Properties.
Your Apprenticeship & Role
We have an exciting opportunity to take an enthusiastic and focused individual into our business, giving you real, hands on experience in Technical Assurance and Facilities Management. We will support you in working to achieve a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship, with 20% of your time dedicated to learning and study.
This role would ideally suit someone looking to progress into Business Operations or Facilities Management career, to gain knowledge and experience in the Technical and Legislative policies and procedures to progress in either field.
Working within the Technical Services team, you will receive practical work experience in:
- Verifying all documentation is uploaded to the Management Information System
- Analysing documents and reporting on trends and risks
- Providing updates on Planned Preventative Maintenance work status and other legislative Supply Chain work orders
- Facilitating onsite Compliance Audits and distributing Audit Reports to the Client as per process
- Regular reporting to internal customers, external customers and the Supply Chain
- Identifying any needs for additional systems and processes to enhance the customer experience
- Checking full audit trails are in place in the Computer Aided Facilities Management systems to satisfy internal and external auditors
- Helping to ensure suppliers' Planned preventative Maintenance Schedules meet contractual requirements
- Contributing to improving design, delivery and evaluation of work procedures
- Developing and maintain effective working relationships, both internally and externally with customer and client at all levels of management.
- Ensuring contractual obligations are delivered and sustained.
- Updating the Client asset register and planned maintenance tasks/job plans
- Support KBR's Zero Harm health and safety culture e.g. by demonstrating safe work practices, within the workplace at all times
- Providing general administrative support to the Technical Services team including document control
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Qualifications:

- GCSE (or equivalent) Maths & English
Experience and Skills:

- IT Skills - Strong ability using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel and Access
- Organised - ability to plan and prioritise workload
- Shows initiative and is a self-starter
- Willing to learn and able to adapt to change

- Communication skills and the ability to deliver excellent customer service with strong customer focus

Desirable:
- Experience of operating within a Business Operations Team or the facilities management industry
You are not eligible for this Apprenticeship scheme if you currently hold or are working towards a qualification at the same or higher level in a related subject or have already studied content from the qualification for this scheme.
