Job Description

ACE Mid-Market Reward role
This role will be part of the Global Total Rewards team, reporting to the Senior Director, Total Rewards for Australia, Canada and Europe. The primary focus of the role is to provide Reward leadership to a European Mid-Markets sub-region working with the Executive Director of HR to identify and meet the needs of the business.
A client-facing role supporting 16 countries and an employee population of c.1,000 and is primarily focused on compensation but will be expected to work in partnership with the regional Benefits lead to ensure alignment across Total Rewards. The role will also provide support/collaborate with the Senior Director, Total Rewards for the Intercontinental region, Japan & China from time to time.

Essential Duties and Job Functions:
- Own and lead the delivery of Rewards within the Europe Mid-markets sub-region
- Provide support and direction to countries to meet their obligations within annual reward cycle items (such as the annual rewards cycle)
- Consult and provide advice on issues raised locally and act as a bridge between the sub-region and the HQ-based team
- Evaluate and perform deep analysis on pay market positioning and salary structure to ensure market competitiveness in support of overall compensation strategy
- Represent Reward on cross-functional or cross-HR initiatives, engaging with the wider team to ensure accurate representation
- Demonstrated ability to successfully identify the root cause of issues/concerns and propose creative considerations to address the issue
- Provide training and communication on Rewards programs to business management, human resources and employees
- Create analyses required by countries to support employee representative groups (both cyclical and ad-hoc)
- Contribute fully to the global reward team across all areas when engaged
Experience, knowledge and skills:
- Solid experience in International Reward - supporting a client group over several countries is essential (bio/pharma a plus)
- Deep compensation knowledge with evidenced practical experience (job evaluation, salary benchmarking, salary range creation, modelling and costing proposals)
- Team-orientated person who can easily handle shifting priorities and multi-tasking
- Experience of M&A activity, driving harmonisation for incoming transfers or divesting a business, would be an advantage
- Experience of working with countries with works councils/collective agreements
- Able to work independently on projects, with check-ins with manager on direction.
- Builds strong justification to support recommendations and effectively communicates to decision-makers.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized.
- Strong project management experience - demonstrating capability to identify the issue, engage with stakeholders, create detailed plans and problem solve
- Ability to apply critical thinking to novel situations

- Understanding and experience of sales compensation
