The Production Manager will manage the production at RDT from receipt of material to point of dispatch
This role will be based full time at our brand new Head Office in Farnborough, Hampshire.
You are responsible for
Operations:
- Creating and execute daily, weekly, monthly and annual production schedules
- Planning resources, sub assemblies and main assemblies/configurations according to the planned orders
- Monitoring productivity rates, standards and quality control
- Overseeing manufacturing and production processes
- Procuring factory production equipment and taking responsibility for its maintenance
- Interact with warehouse/picking Team to ensure alignment and delivery
- Cooperate with quality to identify support needed and quality checks
- Drive escalation flow
- Improving Production and Material flow
- Implementing Kanban system for sub assemblies
- Lead productivity improvement ( line design,line balancing)
- Lead OEE gap analysis and FPY roadmap
- Perform Time keeping and propose ideas to optimize the process and increase efficiency
Team development :
- Coaching the team
- Drive skill map development and flexibility
- Develop capabilities across all team
- Drive engagement and motivation in the team
- Drive performance bonus and award recognition
- Communicating any problems or obstacles to senior management
- Engage with senior management to drive improvements and support
Governance :
- Maintaining/ Improving safety, health, environment and quality requirements
- Striving to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines
- Maintaining hygienic conditions for both employees and the factory itself
- Ensuring compliance with all the company's procedures and policies.
You are a part of Philips and their newly acquired Remote Diagnostic Technologies (RDT) business, a UK-based leading innovator of advanced solutions for the pre-hospital market providing monitoring, cardiac therapy and data management. RDT's portfolio of comprehensive connected emergency care solutions will complement Philips' Therapeutic Care business and strengthen its leadership position in the EUR 1.4 billion resuscitation and emergency care market. Moreover, RDT will strengthen Philips' ability to innovate, drive digital transformation in healthcare, and enter new markets.
You will have the opportunity to lead an established team of Production Engineers.
To succeed in this role, you'll need a customer-first attitude and the following
- Demonstrable career in Manufacturing
- Previous experience leading teams and performances
- Experience in planning and resource/sub assemblies planning
- Lean Manufacturing skills (drive layout analysis, time keeping , standard work procedure set up)
- Kaizen approach
- Kanban system set up
- Planning boards and sequence prioritization and problem solving
- SAP
