Our client, a well-respected house builder, is looking to appoint a Graduate as a Development Coordinator to join a growing, friendly and well-established team.
The main objective will be ensuring that design projects are delivered efficiently and to programme, whilst achieving targets for both the project and the brief.
The Development teams are involved in all aspects of developments from technical to commercial. The team is made up of engineering and commercial background, and for all, we offer the opportunity to gain expertise in design and project management in a thought-provoking setting. Reporting to the Senior Development Manager you will work together and be responsible for developing constraints plans for architects, outline drainage and engineering strategies, co-ordinating external design consultants, liaison with statutory undertakers and highway departments, discharging planning conditions, take offs and budgeting and ensuring mains services are procured.
You will be expected to:
* Obtain Technical Drawings and approvals * Minimise risk through provision of timely and high-quality information * Assist the Senior Development Manager in briefing, managing and driving the external consultants in the preparation and issue of production information to an agreed programme, fee and scope * Assist the estimator with the costing of developments * Ensure all statutory enquiries, sewer connections and other section agreements are submitted and pursued for their timely return * Attend meetings at various stages of projects (Land/Technical hand-over, Project Meeting, Optimisation, Progression, Technical/Sales, Budget Meetings, etc.) * Liaise and coordinate other parties, both internal and external * Respond to site queries raised * Issue drawings for pre and planning stage * Update drawing information to internal document management system

To be successful in the role, we are looking for:
*An individual who is recently qualified as a Civil/Building Engineer or at a Construction related degree level or HNC/HND in a built environment subject *An understanding of Building Regulations, NHBC and associated legislation connected with the construction industry * The ability to get on with people together with communication, meeting and management skills essential in dealing with multi-disciplined teams * The ability to recognise problems and deal with them in a speedy and effective manner
