About the opportunity:
You will join our Water, Energy & Environment business, which is recognised as the No.1 Environmental Consultancy in the UK by Environment Analyst.

We are also at the forefront of developing best practice and pragmatic approaches to the delivery of environmental assessments and consents and have extensive capability in EIA, SEA, IIA, Health and Sustainability Appraisals across the full project cycle.

Our Environmental Services and Consenting teams specialise in major infrastructure in the UK and Europe, including the provision of technical expertise across the water sector. Our team is currently working with a number of key clients, supporting them with their WRMP development and review, AMP7 Capital Delivery and Strategic Resource Options commitments.
We are at the forefront of supporting our clients with their current water resource planning, capital delivery programmes and major projects, some of which are complex Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) and require SEA, EIA and specialist discipline input across the full project cycle.
We have opportunities for individuals with a proven track record in environmental leadership to join our team on some of the largest, most complex and exciting projects in the UK. You will have a pivotal role in major project delivery, working closely with our clients and helping to lead our environmental assessment and consents workstreams. Your experience will enable you to identify and manage risks to project delivery and maximise opportunities for efficiencies, promote innovation, provide mentorship and support technical development of our staff.
We are looking for Environmental Consultants with a proven track record of contributing to the delivery of environmental assessments for water sector projects to join our team leading some of the largest, most complex and exciting projects in the UK. You will contribute to our major project delivery, working to help deliver our environmental assessment and consents workstreams. Your experience will enable you to help the project team to deliver quality outputs to meet programme, whilst at the same time gaining valuable knowledge and understanding of the water sector.

- Knowledge and experience of EIA project delivery, ideally in the UK water sector.
- A good understanding and experience of the applicable environmental legislation, the EIA process, assessment methodologies, and best practice approaches for EIAs and ESs.
- An appreciation of Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIP) and the Development Consent Order (DCO) process.
- Experience of working in multi-disciplinary environmental teams.
- Good communication skills and experience in engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong project delivery experience, with a demonstrable commitment to health, safety and security and inclusivity.
