A great opportunity to join our Bids and Tender team as an Analyst and Coordinator is now available. The position can be performed remotely, with preferably 1 day a week in the office. You will be involved in a challenging and fast-paced environment, in which you will:
- Effectively manage the tender process, ensuring all Pre-Qualification Questionnaire and Tender responses are produced to the highest possible standard, with absolute accuracy, and are submitted on time, every time.
- Work collaboratively with business units and functions to drive continuous improvement in our tendering process and the quality of our submissions. Ensure the best possible picture of Medtronics value proposition is reflected in our written submissions, using your tendering expertise to drive focus on areas that will maximise scores.
- Monitor for new opportunities released into the market, and liaise with business partners to determine whether bids will be submitted.
- Track tenders through their lifecycle, from pre-tender to award and beyond. Record business intelligence and win/loss information to support continuous improvement efforts.
- Play an active role in the wider Pricing team, embracing change and supporting new initiatives.
- Maintain relationships with key individuals at all levels, both internally (Sales, Marketing, BU leaders) and externally (Procurement in Trusts and Hubs).
Main Responsibilities:
As a Bids and Tender Coordinator, your responsibilities will be to:
Tendering Contracting
- Total management of the tender process, including expression of interest in forthcoming contract opportunities, completion of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires, and high-quality Tender submissions, in a timely manner
- Manage tender preparation as a project, tracking and coordinating contributions from other teams
- Respond to all Tender enquiries originating from both the MDT businesses and the purchasing body
- Process new contract awards and contract extensions
- Maintain repository of best-in-class responses, and seek to continuously raise the bar for quality in our tender submissions
Partnering Strategic Management of Contracts
- Business partner with all operational teams within the organization and liaise with the Commercial teams to meet overall objectives for all quotes and tenders
- Partner with contracting and strategy teams, ensuring that tenders are handed over optimally for implementation, and business insight is gathered to feed into new bids
- Attend tender debrief meetings, and record win/loss information for later analysis
- Ad hoc tasks, projects and work as needed
Must haves:
- Experience in tendering in a commercial environment
- Good organizational skills and priority management; able to juggle multiple tasks
- Ability to build strong and credible relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong IT skills, particularly Excel
- Conscientious, with strong focus on quality of work and good eye for detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical mindset problem-solving skills
