With responsibility for the management of operational activities associated within the Gulfstream Contract and be the key KN contact on the customer's site. This includes customer liaison, managing the operational team, prompt receipt, handling, storage, inspection and despatch of all items, ensuring total accuracy and quality at all times- Are you ready for this challenge? Your Role As a Contract Operations Manager, you will manage the workload across the 24/7 operation, report to the Contracts Manager. You are responsible to continuously develop a highly motivated workforce, champion continuous improvement and ensure all operational activities steered safely and in line with customer requirements, working instructions, company documentation and budgets. Your Responsibilities - Manage the receipt, handling, storage, inspection and despatch of all customers' assets and all associated tasks in line with the agreed contract. Ensure yearly 100% stock check is carried out - Carry out effective planning of workload/volumes and best utilise the labour resource to meet customer's expectations. Coach and Mentor the operations team and highlight potential talent for future opportunities. - Monitor the effectiveness of the Team Leaders in motivating the operative team to maintain and improve the production process and associated administrative systems. - Challenge and drive continual improvement in the efficient utilisation of all other resources including space, machinery/equipment and materials whilst continually looking to improve productivity. Monitor process failures and lead improvement programmes and corrective action - Hold reviews to discuss productivity, performance figures monthly with the team in order to assess, review and improve individual and team performance. - Attend daily management meetings to provide details on previous day's performance highlight any issues, discuss resource etc. - Liaise and communicate with customer representatives and management on a daily basis to ensure the KN operation is achieving customer requirements, - Arrange and attend Monthly reviews with customer as requested, providing operational data and reporting information. - Promote and Manage the company's policies on health & safety, quality, environment, induction and training, as well as other relevant matters in the company information manual. Support the QSHE team in all aspects of H&S. Actively promotes the Golden rules of safety to all employees. Lead H&S activities on site on a day-to-day basis. Actively encourage the near miss / safety concern process in support of reducing risk and incidents. Ensure resources are in place to cover all safety responsibilities & training requirements e.g. first aiders, risk assessor, accident investigator. Your Skills and Experiences - Proven Experience in warehouse operations preferably from Aerospace, Hi-Tec or Automotive background.
