About the Opportunity
Our Water and Catchment Management sector provides a focus for advising our clients on delivering sustainable drainage, flood risk management and civil engineering solutions. Water and Catchment Management comprises in excess of 400 staff based in the UK and Europe, but with reach into the Middle East, Australasia and America.
To meet our growing UK business needs and future development aspirations we are recruiting a River Engineer to be based in our Winnersh (Reading) office. The role will be focused on developing sustainable engineering solutions for river and reservoir projects to provide flood defence, water conveyance and storage. Our projects typically include strategic option appraisals, detailed designs, construction supervision and inspection of assets, with the Environment Agency and Local Authorities being key clients.
The successful person will become part of a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects and international opportunities.
You will be an engineer in the early stages of your career who is keen to expand technical capability and looking for opportunities to work on a variety of water management projects. You will be an enthusiastic problem solver, who likes to innovate and work with diverse multi-disciplinary project teams.

Here's What You'll Need:
- A degree in Civil Engineering
- Post graduate experience in engineering
- An interest in water catchment management
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Ideally, here's what you'll also have:
- Specialisation in hydraulics
- Experience in using CAD or GIS
