As a Barclays Active Directory Engineer you will play a technical role in driving many Infrastructure activities such as providing technical support to facilitate design & delivery of Business driven changes as well as designing and implementation of solutions in line with technology roadmaps and global strategy. You will work with group IT Security and Governance teams to ensure all IT Security policies and standards are applied and support an Active Directory service across the globe.

What will you be doing?
•Providing improvements/ changes to the Active Directory services, in support of client requirements and the business area strategy
•Implementing Business driven changes and Configuration of Group Policies
•Supporting third party Active Directory management tools, automations, backup solutions, monitoring tools, capacity management
•Developing installation and integration guides to aid implementation of solutions
•Developing Post Implementation "Best Practice, Troubleshooting and Operational guides" to aid support of installed services
•Resolving problems including: problem management, root cause analysis and implementation of remedies
•Reviewing affected systems with a view to alleviating problems inherent in design, configuration and/ or implementation
•Carrying out fault diagnosis relating to complex problems, reporting the results of such diagnosis in a clear and concise manner
What we're looking for:
•Excellent knowledge and support experience of Active Directory services on Windows 2012/2016/2019
•Advanced scripting skills in Powershell
•Ability to manage own workload effectively & prioritise tasks during times of changing priorities/ schedules
•Ability to present technical/ business information to peers, colleagues and senior stakeholders in clear unambiguous language
Skills that will help you in the role:
•Good understanding of major Windows component technologies and competent in discussing these in detail with other Subject Matter Experts
•Ability to contribute to the development and implementation of standards and procedures
•Understands the Availability & Continuity services offered by own technical function
•MCSE or MCITP qualified. Quest Toolset configuration and troubleshooting
Where will you be working?
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play. We have an onsite gym, as well as outdoor tennis, football and cricket areas, as well as onsite restaurant and coffee shops.
