Apply for this jobTitle: Telecoms Engineer KBR's global business comprises two main segments - Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) and Government Solutions (GS). This role sits within STS in the Integrated Solutions business unit. Integrated Solutions is the engineering and project delivery group providing services which include front-end and detailed engineering, procurement, construction services, and program management primarily in the hydrocarbons and energy transition industries. The position is based in KBR's Leatherhead Campus. Flexible working can be discussed. As part of the Engineering team, you will be involved in the design, specification, and services relating to Telecommunication engineering for Energy Transition projects. You will be working in a multi-disciplinary project team. You will be involved in various project stages from concept to detailed design through to construction which may be offshore or onshore facilities including both greenfield and brownfield projects, refining, hydrogen, renewables, etc. You will be under general supervision, perform assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles with support from your lead engineer. You will use your judgment in making selections and adaptation of engineering alternatives. You will be asked to perform specific and well-defined assignments. You will be asked to attend meetings, write reports, and give presentations as part of your role. Roles and Responsibilities Assisting in the design and preparation of Specification/Technical Evaluation of Telecom systems like LAN-WAN System, Fiber Optic Cable System, CCTV, Access Control System, Public Address General Alarm System, PABX, Wireless/Microwave/Radio Systems, Intrusion Detection System, etc. to required specifications, focusing on safety, reliability, and quality. Perform design in compliance with design standards and codes of practice. Creating Block Diagram, Cable Schedule, Equipment Schedule, datasheets, and layout drawings for oil and gas onshore and offshore installations Communicate effectively and multi-task. Skills & Experience FEED, Detail-Engineering & EPC Telecommunication Engineering experience. Ability to Develop all Telecommunication deliverables. Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards. Knowledge of Telecoms software e.g., Sound-plan, Pathloss, etc. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel Education Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree Engineering in Electrical/Electronics and Communication / Digital Communications or equivalent related experience Master's Degree preferred Member of a relevant professional body.
