Where does this role fit within Ted's Team?

Working in a team of 6 reporting to the Head of Talent & Development, this role is responsible for the recruitment, talent attraction and onboarding of various roles across Ted’s head office and our global retail population. As Talent Partner, you will consult with your stakeholders to implement the people agenda and build the right talent, culture and leadership, whilst using your knowledge of the market and business requirements to determine the best recruitment channels to ensure we find and hire the very best people for every job here at Ted!

Main responsibilities

  • Works closely with, listening to and understanding the needs and priorities of your business areas.
  • Analyses insight provided by People Operations. Using the data to inform the people strategy and plan for their business areas, implement actions and ensure fit for purpose and cost-effective solutions.
  • Responsible for the recruitment of contractors within their business areas, from budget sign off, IR35 checks and supporting documentation.
  • Makes sure that all open jobs they are responsible for are filled to the highest standard, within the targeted time to hire and to budget.
  • Ensures hiring managers are using a consistent approach to recruitment and are resourcing fairly within the parameters of the law.
  • Ensuring that we recruit from a diverse candidate base, promoting the benefits of diverse teams.
  • Builds a professional network through relationships with external professionals, peers, further education centres and other contacts.
  • Delivers resourcing training as required.
  • Acting as the performance improvement driver, challenges the status quo and is an advocate of positive changes in people hiring practices.
  • Carries out preliminary screening/vetting of applications on the AT.
  • Contributes the employee onboarding experience.
  • Support and lead projects within the Talent & Development Team.

Tools of the Trade…

  • In house or agency recruitment experience
  • Familiar with recruitment technology, hiring channels and current social media platforms.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and requirements.
  • An in-depth knowledge of current employment law and legislation relevant to their role and responsibilities.

  • Proven ability to quickly learn new applications, processes, and procedures.
  • Proven capacity to manage changing priorities and ambiguity while remaining calm and controlled.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
