Where does this role fit within Ted's Team? This role is part of the International Licensee team, and will manage the Menswear International Licensee & Joint Venture business. Reporting into the Merchandise Manager, the Merchandiser works in a team that consists of a Junior Merchandiser, Assistant Merchandiser and Allocator.
Main responsibilities
Plan across Total Menswear, working within parameters set within top-line initial planning, focusing on all KPI's to deliver profit expectations.
In season trading to ensure that all categories are performing at optimum levels, constantly monitoring intake, territorial OTB position, & terminal stock across the department. Making Merchandise Manager aware of any upside or risk to sales.
Working closely with the Buying & Design teams providing option and range plans that deliver commercial, balanced ranges across all sub-brands, ensuring all areas of Ted are protected whilst maintaining innovation.
Building and developing Partner relationships to ensure the success of Ted in each individual territory.
Driving lessons learned, season analysis and strategy meetings prior to pre-season planning.
Managing & driving the critical path to ensure all deadlines are met.
The Job in more detail Trading
In season trading at category and territory/store level.
Working closely with Partners to understand trading factors. Develop strategy and actions to drive sales.
Planning
Pull together lessons learnt & seasonal performance analysis.
Planning at topline across sales, options and recodes which will be signed off by Merchandise Manager.
Work closely with Merchandise Manager & Partners to agree sales plans and budget plans for each season.
Product sign off
Agreeing a balanced range with the buying team and ensuring all stores in each grading have a strong offer. Review profiling of each store to ensure meeting each individual territory needs.
Present back to Directors seasonal performance analysis & lessons learnt.
Quantities
Managing the spend effectively, planning quantities, width vs depth of buy, ranging and planned FP sell through.
Re-forecasting and OTB Management
Every 4 weeks, review territorial spend position and highlight any risks and opportunities.
Every 4 weeks, reviewing MW performance with Merchandise Manager. Agree strategy & actions which the team will work to, re-forecasting categories, managing any risk, and potential over-performing areas of the business.
