Due to the rapid growth seen within our Energy business unit we have an opportunity for an ambitious Planner to join our team reporting to the Operations Manager.

We are looking for someone who has an excellent Understanding of Electrical, Instrument and control systems installation and maintenance activities they will also be able to speak to the customers about their maintenance or process issues and make sensible and considered suggestions to solve the problem.

• Professional, diplomatic and assertive.
• Ability to develop and optimise resources and workload to achieve efficient operating costs and keep overtime to a minimum.
• Ability to deliver a responsive and flexible service to the Managers.
• Ability to respond to unforeseen events and act promptly.
• Ability to work in an organised manner without supervision and to be discreet in his/her dealings with all concerned.
• Manage own time in the face of conflicting priorities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a standard BU planning system/work flow and create resource-loaded programs that will identify slippages, and significant float erosion and recommend recovery actions necessary.
• Use Primavera P6/Microsoft Project or other planning tools to plan and report on new and current projects by working with the BU CDM’s, client’s Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, and Site Agents.
• Provide customer interface for the Business Unit and arrange access to customer and/or third-party premises as required.
• Attend and present updates at regular planning meetings both internally and externally
• Develop workflows and schedules that optimise our resources and result in efficient delivery.
• Responsible for all planning and administration tasks within the unit, including but not limited to; diary management, permit and order requesting, reporting on progress and productivity, invoice requests, administration databases
• Manage all project and service-related administration and documentation for all Contracts and Operations within the Business Unit.
• Arrange appropriate permits and permissions to facilitate planned works.
