Where does this role fit within Ted's Team?
As part of the customer team, you will be responsible for delivering the companies trade marketing objectives. You will act as a guardian and ambassador for the brand at all times, ensuring that all marketing activities deliver commercial results for the brand and to the global brand vision for Ted Baker.

Reporting to: Senior Marketing Manager

Main responsibilities…

  • Retail Activity Management

  • With the Senior Marketing Manager, plan and implement the marketing strategy. Be accountable for the annual partner trade marketing calendar, planning and delivering appropriate and timely events and activities.

  • Deliver suitable analysis for each marketing campaign to determine keys learnings that will inform what the areas of focus should be going forward.

  • Be accountable for all trade marketing events within the calendar and ensure activity is aligned with Brand Marketing team’s and wider Customer team’s plans.

  • Ensure marketing content including relevant assets are produced in line with Ted's brand guidelines and unique tone of voice.

  • Proactively identify and propose new opportunities that will drive brand awareness, customer acquisition and deliver results.

  • Build and nurture relationships both internal and external that will support with trade marketing solutions and activity on an on-going basis.

  • With the Senior Marketing Manager, be accountable for the budget of related marketing activities, ensuring spend is effective in delivering trade objectives.



Team Management

  • Aligned with the Senior Marketing Manager, coach and inspire the trade marketing team ensuring direct reports have clear accountabilities, objectives and deliverables

  • Work closely with the wider communications team to ensure that there are no gaps or overlaps, and the functions works seamlessly to support the delivery of customer objectives

  • Drive processes within the team with a strong attention to detail on; critical paths, budget and purchase order management, supplier management & post analysis



Tools of the trade…

  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within retail marketing

  • Knowledge and experience of retail marketing within a fast-paced environment

  • Strong people manager with line management experience

  • Highly organised and efficient with ‘can do’ proactive attitude

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage budgets and multiple projects

  • Sound working knowledge of IT packages – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Photoshop and Outlook
