About the Opportunity
We are looking for a security engineer experienced in the Defence domain to undertake the full spectrum of security engineering activities spanning all stages of the system lifecycle, including concept, assessment, requirements, design, integration, verification, validation, transition into service, and in-service support. Specifically, we are looking for an individual that can:
• Develop security requirements, architecture, and design for complex information systems
• Develop cyber security assessment approaches
• Specify and implement a robust security risk management process
• Support accreditation activities
• Conduct security reviews and audits
• Conduct security operations, including Protective Monitoring, Incident Management, Incident Response, and Incident Recovery activities
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Provide technical assistance to Business Development when necessary
• Maintain familiarity with the legislation and regulations of relevance
Here's What You'll Need:
Essential
• Education
o Educated to degree level with a minimum 2:1 in a relevant subject
• Certifications
o Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Customers/sectors
o Experience working with the UK MOD customer, especially DE&S and Defence Digital
• General
o At least 10 years' experience
o Hold a minimum of SC clearance
o Previous experience of leading a team of specialists in delivery, in a complex and dynamic environment
o Excellent presentation and written skills
o Ability to author technical and non-technical documents for varying audiences from technical automation personnel to senior security or operations personnel.
o Ability to analyse and break down complex problems
o True team player but with the ability to work independently
