|Salary:||£30,000 - £40,000|
We’re delighted to have been appointed exclusively by a leading firm of Chartered Financial Planners in Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset to assist them in their search for a Paraplanner.
This long-standing family business specialises in investment and pension advice to individuals and has a loyal, but growing, client base.
You’ll take a lead role in preparing for and following up on new client projects and delivering ongoing aftercare to existing clients.
You will work closely with the Directors to enable the Company to offer quality, bespoke financial advice effectively and efficiently. Using your experience and expertise, you’ll provide some supervision and oversight for other paraplanner and administration colleagues.
You’ll be able to demonstrate the ability to balance commercial needs with compliance requirements and be able to identify opportunities or flag any concerns. Integral to this role is compliance with their code of conduct, data security and all company policies and procedures.
As a key part of a core team of eight colleagues, they believe that collaboration, communication, co-ordination, and coaching are optimised with regular face-to-face contact. However, they also recognise the personal benefits from reduced commuting as well as lower corporate carbon emissions.
You’ll have relevant paraplanning experience and be a minimum of Level 4 Qualified.
You’ll have excellent IT, communication, research and organisational abilities. You will be experienced in financial advice software and systems.
It would be advantageous if you have prior knowledge of Intelliflo Office, FE Analytics, O&M Pension Profiler and Iress Exchange. Earlier use of platforms such as AJ Bell, Aviva and Aegon would also be beneficial.
You may wish to develop your experience and study further professional qualifications and want a supportive environment to help you get there. In the future, you might want the opportunity to become a financial planner yourself and this can be supported.
As you’ll be providing paraplanning support to the Directors, and working closely with them, this role will be primarily office-based; however, they're willing to offer some flexibility in terms of one day a week working from home or condensed hours over a four-day week.
