The Company

My client is an SME supplier of products sold via distribution to prestige Hospitality and Foodservice clients.

They are looking to recruit a Commercially-orientated FD to oversee a breadth of internal functions, implement special projects and help to drive the business forward through its next period of exciting growth.

The Role

This is a varied role which requires a versatile, hands-on and experienced Finance professional. This person will be the business No.2 and will be required to deputize for the MD during periods of travel.

You will oversee the Finance, Internal Sales, IT, HR and admin teams and will be expected to interact with all other department heads across the business as well as reporting up to and interacting regularly with the overseas Group parent business.

You will be spearheading the modernization and infrastructure development of the business. Key projects include research and implementation of a new ERP system, premises relocation and capital raising.

You will be Company Secretary and hold full (multi-currency) treasury responsibility.

The Person

This is a pivotal appointment for the business and as such we are looking for candidates to fulfill all of the following:

• Qualified Accountant with senior Financial responsibility from within an SME environment;
• Import and Distribution experience;
• Proven management of diverse business functions;
• A commercial interest –sees the bigger picture;
• Strategic management –capital raising, M&A;
• Systems experience –in particular ERP/SAP/MIS implementation;
• Proven achievements of business growth;
• Experience of the Catering/Beverage Equipment or Foodservice sector would be a distinct advantage;
• Lives in or can relocate to within an hour of Surrey.
