A quality manager is the main position for a QA job. This person is responsible for developing and implementing quality management procedures and systems and ensures that all products manufactured or marketed by a company are free from any flaws, there is little wastage and are of the highest quality.

Today, quality monitoring and guarantee job opportunities are available in a wide range of industries like manufacturing, self-storage, engineering, real estate, transport, construction, petrochemicals, food production and the public service sector. A scientific QA role involves a good understanding of the production processes and this can vary in terms of the technical understanding you will need.


The QA needs to establish a strong relationship with the line staff and the production manager to get the inside knowledge of the various processes involved, how they work and what could possibly go wrong at different steps. This would give him an insight of the maximum amount of work that can possibly be done in a single shift while keeping up the high standards of work. Quality assurance can also exist in service companies where the monitoring, control and improvement of the levels of customer service often fall within the remit of the QA manager.
